“Union for Justice”: Israel Killed (128) Palestinians Last Month in Gaza and the West Bank

2/2/2026 – Union for Justice Foundation

The “Union for Justice Foundation” stated that Israeli occupation forces killed (128) Palestinians during last January, including (121) in the Gaza Strip, (6) in the West Bank, and one from the territories occupied in 1948.

The Foundation noted that Israeli occupation forces continue to violate the ceasefire that was reached on 11 October last year under international sponsorship, indicating that since that date the number of martyrs has reached 524, while the number of injured has exceeded 1,450.

Meanwhile, the total number of Palestinian martyrs since 7 October 2023 has reached (71,795) martyrs and more than (171,550) wounded, while thousands of bodies remain under the rubble and destroyed buildings.

It added: “In the most violent Israeli escalation since the beginning of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement, on Saturday (30/1/2026) 30 Palestinians, including children and women, were martyred as a result of intensive Israeli airstrikes that targeted buildings and homes in the Sheikh Radwan and Al-Nasr neighborhoods in Gaza City, in addition to targeting the tents of displaced persons in Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, south of the Strip.”

It pointed out that among the martyrs were 15 citizens who were killed as a result of a strike targeting the Sheikh Radwan police station in northwestern Gaza City, which detained a number of collaborators with the occupation, in addition to a number of others who were injured.

It continued: “Despite the ceasefire agreement, occupation forces still consider themselves free to act in the Gaza Strip and carry out assassinations and direct killings of Palestinians, using warplanes, drones, tank shells, and snipers, each time under flimsy pretexts and false claims.”

Continued Killing of Journalists

On the twenty-first of last month, Israeli aircraft bombed a vehicle carrying three journalists: Mohammad Salah Qishta, Abdul Raouf Samir Shaat, and Anas Ghoneim, who were using a drone to film the activities of the Egyptian Relief Committee in the Al-Zahraa area in central Gaza Strip. With this, the number of martyred journalists since the beginning of the war has risen to 260 journalists, a figure described as the deadliest and most dangerous for journalists in conflicts and wars of the modern era.

Martyrs of the Prisoners’ Movement

The “Union for Justice Foundation” pointed out that last January witnessed the announcement of the martyrdom of two prisoners in occupation prisons: Hassan Issa Al-Qasha’leh (26 years old) from Rahat in the occupied interior, who was martyred inside Beersheba Prison, noting that he had been detained on security grounds for more than 13 months.

And the martyr: Hamza Abdullah Abdul Hadi Adwan (67 years old) from the Gaza Strip, whose martyrdom was announced on 11/1/2026, noting that he had actually been martyred on 9/9/2025. He had been arrested on 12/11/2024 near the Civil Administration checkpoint in the Gaza Strip. He was married and the father of nine children, two of whom were martyred before the war.

With the martyrdom of detainee Adwan, the number of martyrs of the Palestinian prisoners’ movement whose identities have been announced since the beginning of the war has risen to 87 martyrs, including 51 detainees from Gaza, bringing the total number of martyrs of the Palestinian prisoners’ movement since 1967 to 324 martyrs, limited to those whose identities are known to institutions.
