“Union for Justice”: Executing Citizens in Their Homes Is a New Policy Pursued by the Israeli Occupation Army in the West Bank

The “Union for Justice Foundation” said that the Israeli occupation forces have begun pursuing a new policy in the West Bank based on targeting and killing citizens inside their homes, without them posing any threat to the lives of Israeli soldiers.
The Foundation pointed out that the incident involving the execution of citizen Ziad Mohammad Jaber (54), which took place yesterday at the hands of Israeli occupation soldiers in the city of Al-Bireh, was not the latest incident, as it was preceded by 6 similar incidents since the beginning of the current year, confirming that Israeli occupation soldiers have begun pursuing a deliberate new policy aimed at terrorizing unarmed citizens and killing them in cold blood.
In the early hours of Tuesday, Israeli occupation soldiers raided the home of citizen Jaber in the Umm Al-Sharayet neighborhood, after blowing up its external gate, then opened fire on him with a weapon equipped with a silencer, leaving him bleeding until he was martyred after sustaining two gunshot wounds to the abdomen and thigh (according to a statement by the Palestine Red Crescent Society).
In the early hours of Friday, August 21, the Israeli occupation forces killed citizen Fathi Zaidan Khazem (58) inside his home in the Al-Masarwa neighborhood of the city of Jenin, in front of his wife and his 14-year-old child, during a raid that the occupation claimed at the time was intended to arrest him.
During the raid on the house, Israeli occupation soldiers fired 7 direct bullets at Khazem’s body, resulting in his martyrdom, and the forces confiscated his body and transported it in a military vehicle to an unknown location.
According to the monitoring and follow-up of the “Union for Justice,” Israeli forces martyred the 32-year-old young man Mustafa Taha Mustafa Al-Khatib on June 25, while he was inside his home in the town of Sarta, west of Salfit.
In the early hours of dawn, Israeli occupation soldiers raided the home of the martyr without giving him time to open the door or put on his clothes. They then entered directly into the room where he was and opened fire on him from close range.
On the twenty-fourth of the same month, members of the Israeli special forces raided the home of a relative of the 29-year-old young man Mohammad Nazem Ezzat Zaid in the town of Al-Yamoun, west of Jenin, and opened fire on him, injuring him, and prevented ambulance crews from reaching him, before his martyrdom was later announced, noting that he was suffering from cancer.
On April 29, Israeli occupation soldiers opened fire on the 37-year-old young man Abdul Halim Rouhi Hammad while he was inside his home in the town of Silwad, northeast of Ramallah.
According to the details of the incident, family sources indicated that Abdul Halim attempted to intervene to protect his younger brother Islam from a violent assault by the Israeli occupation forces. The soldiers then fired 5 bullets at him in front of his parents and his brother.
On April 7, the elderly woman Sabria Amin Shamassneh (68) was martyred after being severely beaten by Israeli occupation soldiers who raided her home at dawn in the town of Jayous, east of Qalqilya, which caused her to suffer an acute heart attack, as a result of which she was martyred.
On March 25, Israeli occupation soldiers executed the 21-year-old young man Qassem Amjad Shuqairat after opening fire on him while he was inside his home in the town of Jabal Al-Mukabber near Jerusalem.
The “Union for Justice Foundation” affirms that the incidents of executing Palestinian civilians in their homes constitute a dangerous precedent added to multiple crimes carried out by the Israeli occupation forces, whether in the West Bank or in the Gaza Strip.
It warns of the growing nature of this criminal conduct by Israeli occupation soldiers, who receive all forms of political and legal support from the extremist Israeli government.
