“Union for Justice”: The Occupation Carried Out More Than (42) Demolition Operations in the West Bank During Last February
5/3/2026 – Union for Justice Foundation
The “Union for Justice Foundation” stated that the Israeli occupation authorities increased the pace of demolishing Palestinian homes and facilities in the West Bank during the past month, particularly in areas classified as (C) according to the Oslo Agreement and in the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The Foundation indicated that these demolitions led to the displacement of hundreds of citizens and caused others to lose their sources of livelihood, as the demolition operations targeted a number of industrial, commercial, agricultural, and livestock facilities. It stressed that the occupation authorities continue to use the demolition of homes and facilities as part of a general policy aimed at expelling Palestinians from the West Bank and replacing them with settlers, and as a punitive measure against the families of martyrs and prisoners.
“Union for Justice” notes that through the escalating demolition operations, which have become part of the daily Palestinian scene, the occupation authorities seek to confine and concentrate Palestinians in specific areas to facilitate control over them, and to create new spaces that allow for the expansion of settlements and the establishment of buffer zones separating these settlements from Palestinian communities.
According to the monitoring of the “Union for Justice Foundation,” the occupation authorities carried out more than (42) demolition operations in various areas of the West Bank during last February, resulting in the destruction of dozens of facilities, in addition to issuing dozens of demolition and construction stop notices to citizens.
Regarding the distribution of demolition operations across the Palestinian governorates, “Union for Justice” recorded (13) demolition operations in the Jerusalem Governorate, (13) in the Hebron Governorate, (4) in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, (3) in the Nablus Governorate, (3) in the Jenin Governorate, (2) in Bethlehem, (2) in the Jordan Valley, one in Qalqilya, and another in the Salfit Governorate.
Alongside the demolition operations in the West Bank, the occupation continues to destroy and blow up buildings in the areas it still controls in Gaza, which constitute about 60% of the area of the Strip, despite the ceasefire entering its second phase.
Regarding the nature of the facilities targeted by demolition operations, the Foundation explained that most of them are inhabited homes belonging to Palestinian citizens, ranging from a single room to multi-story buildings and residential apartments, in addition to Bedouin dwellings made of tin, barracks, agricultural rooms, sheep pens, water wells, commercial shops, factories, and retaining walls.
The “Union for Justice Foundation” publishes below the details of the demolition operations it monitored during last February.
