In addition to the hundreds of martyrs in the Strip…

4/6/2025 – Union for Justice Foundation
The Union for Justice Foundation stated that the Israeli occupation forces continued their arbitrary and repressive policy against civilians in the West Bank, alongside the round‑the‑clock massacres perpetrated in the Gaza Strip, noting that (17) Palestinians were killed in the West Bank during May 2025.
The Foundation indicated that the martyrs included a child under the age of eighteen, a prisoner who died inside the occupation’s prisons as a result of poor care, medical neglect and torture, and (9) others who were killed in multiple assassination operations.
Regarding the geographical distribution of the martyrs, the Foundation explained that (5) citizens were martyred in Tubas, (5) in Nablus, two in Jenin, one in Hebron, one in Jerusalem, one in Salfit, one in Jericho and one in Qalqiliya.
According to the Union for Justice Foundation, occupation soldiers deliberately, in two separate incidents during the past month, arrested gunshot‑wounded Palestinians and left them to bleed to death after preventing medical teams from evacuating them.
With respect to specific cases, the Foundation stated that on 17/5/2025 occupation soldiers opened fire at Nael Sami Samara (36 Years Old) in the al‑Balata area of the town of Bruqin, Salfit Governorate, wounding him. They then arrested him while injured, and he was later pronounced dead.
On 28/5/2025 occupation soldiers shot Jasem Ibrahim al‑Sadda (20 Years Old) inside his home in the village of Jit, Qalqiliya Governorate, inflicting multiple gunshot wounds and leaving him to bleed on the ground until he died.
Assassination… Extrajudicial Killing
During the past month the Israeli army carried out three assassination operations in Nablus Governorate. The first occurred on 2/5/2025, when a special Israeli unit infiltrated Balata Refugee Camp, surrounded a house and opened fire on Omar Mustafa Abu Leil (39 Years Old), then withheld his body.
On 8/5/2025 a special Israeli unit disguised in Palestinian clothing entered the Old City of Nablus and shot Rami Sami Walid al‑Kakhin (30 Years Old) at close range, killing him instantly.
On 9/5/2025 the Israeli army assassinated Hikmat ‘Abd al‑Nabi Ghaith (42 Years Old) from ‘Askar Camp, east of Nablus, and Nur ‘Abd al‑Karim al‑Bitawi (34 Years Old) from Jenin Camp after a drone detonated inside the house where they had taken refuge in the Masaken area east of Nablus.
On 15/5/2025 the occupation army assassinated five young men from the town of Tammun, Tubas Governorate, after besieging the house in which they were barricaded and shelling it with Energa projectiles. The martyrs were: Wadi‘ Iyad Ahmad Bani ‘Odeh (19 Years Old), Ibrahim Yasin Ahmad Bani ‘Odeh (24 Years Old), Ridha Kamal Mahmoud Bani ‘Odeh (22 Years Old), Islam ‘Azmi Hussein Bani ‘Odeh (22 Years Old) and Saher Nabil Bisharat (23 Years Old).
Under international humanitarian law, assassination constitutes a flagrant violation of human rights, being an extrajudicial killing carried out before the person targeted can stand trial and before the judiciary can issue its ruling.
Martyrs of the Prisoners’ Movement
On 4/5/2025 prisoner Muhyi al‑Din Fahmi Saeed Najm (60 Years Old) died in Soroka Hospital. He had been held under administrative detention since 8/8/2023 and was from the village of Sīris, Jenin District.
Human‑rights organisations report that at least 70 detainees have been martyred in occupation prisons since the war on Gaza began on 7 October 2023, among them 45 from Gaza. The occupation continues to conceal the identities of dozens of martyrs and withhold their bodies. The number of prisoner martyrs whose names have been documented since 1967 stands at (307), the latest being martyr Radaideh.
Among those martyred last month by occupation gunfire were: ‘Alaa Shawkat Khudair (23 Years Old) from Beita, south of Nablus; ‘Abd al‑Fattah ‘Ahed al‑Haribat (20 Years Old) from Dura, Hebron Governorate; Muhammad Nidal Abu Labda (16 Years Old) from Jerusalem; Muhammad Yahya ‘Asi Jalayta (20 Years Old) from Jericho; and Mahmoud Faisal al‑Kharaz (32 Years Old) from Nablus, who was shot by an Israeli sniper while standing in front of his shop.
The fall of martyrs in the West Bank coincides with the massacres the occupation commits around the clock in the Gaza Strip, where the number of martyrs has exceeded 54,500.
The Union for Justice Foundation affirms that the occupation remains the primary and real threat to Palestinian life, and that the State of Israel continues, through its arbitrary practices, to violate numerous international conventions and laws concerning respect for human rights—foremost among them the right to life, the supreme right.
The Foundation “views with deep concern the continuation and escalation of Israeli violations against Palestinian citizens, without any deterrent or accountability for the Israeli state, which practices the direct killing of civilians.”
The Foundation called on all international parties and human‑rights institutions to exert pressure on the Occupying Power to enforce the international law safeguarding civilians in time of war.
