Union for Justice: The occupation killed 17 citizens in the West Bank during June

5/7/2025 – Union for Justice Foundation

The Union for Justice Foundation stated that Israeli forces continue to implement a policy of killing Palestinians—either individually, as happens in the West Bank, or collectively, as takes place in the Gaza Strip through horrific massacres around the clock.

In its monthly report, the foundation explained that the occupation army and settler militias killed 17 Palestinians in the West Bank during June.

Among the martyrs were 4 children under the age of 18, as well as 2 prisoners who died inside Israeli prisons due to poor medical care, neglect, and torture, in addition to one woman in her sixties.

Regarding the distribution of martyrs across West Bank cities, the foundation clarified that 5 were from Ramallah, 3 from Jenin, 2 from Nablus, 2 from Hebron, 2 from Tulkarm, 1 from Jerusalem, 1 from Tubas, and 1 from Bethlehem.

According to the Union for Justice, 4 citizens—Mohammad Ahmad Mahmoud Al-Hour (48) from Surif in Hebron; Murshid Nawaf Hamayel (35), Mohammad Maher Al-Najji (19), and Lutfi Sabri Bairat (18), all from Kafr Malik near Ramallah—were martyred last month during bloody attacks carried out by extremist settlers.

The past month also witnessed a significant increase in settler attacks against Palestinian villages and towns. The foundation recorded more than 110 assaults and raids, which resulted in the killing of 4 citizens and the injury of dozens with varying wounds, in addition to the destruction and burning of property and various agricultural crops.

Martyrs of the Prisoners’ Movement

During June, two Palestinians joined the list of martyrs of the prisoners’ movement:

– Raed Suleiman Asa’sa (57 years old) from the town of Alaa, near Tulkarm, who was martyred on June 13, 2025 inside an Israeli hospital, 27 days after being arrested from his workplace in the territories occupied in 1948.

– Louay Faisal Muhammad Nasrallah (22 years old) from Jenin city, who was martyred on June 30, 2025 at Soroka Hospital, noting that he had been held under administrative detention since March 26, 2024.

According to human rights organizations, at least 73 detainees have died in Israeli prisons since the start of the war on Gaza on October 7, 2023, including 45 from the Gaza Strip. The occupation continues to conceal the identities of dozens of martyrs and withhold their bodies. It is worth noting that the number of documented prisoner martyrs since 1967 has reached 310, the most recent being martyr Nasrallah.

As for the details of other martyrs, the Union for Justice Foundation reported that on June 2, 2025, Israeli soldiers opened fire on Yousef Fouad Abdul Kareem Fuqaha (14 years old) while he was in the northern area of the town of Sinjel, near Ramallah, leading to his death.

On June 8, 2025, Mustafa Ali Ismail Taloul (30 years old) from the town of Adh-Dhahiriya, near Hebron, was martyred after Israeli soldiers shot him while he was attempting to cross the separation wall built on the town’s lands.

Two Brothers Killed Live on Camera in Nablus

On June 10, 2025, journalists’ cameras captured scenes of Israeli soldiers killing the two brothers Nidal and Khaled Mahdi Ahmad Amira (40 and 35 years old) while they were trying to reach their homes in the Old City of Nablus.

On the same day, Israeli special forces assassinated Raiq Abdul Rahman Bisharat (47 years old) from the town of Tammun, near Tubas, after shooting him at close range, as shown in footage released by the Israeli army.

According to international humanitarian law, assassinations are a blatant violation of human rights, as they constitute extrajudicial killings carried out before the person has been brought to trial and before the judiciary has had its say.

Among the martyrs who fell last month by Israeli soldiers’ gunfire were:

– Khaled Munir Abdul Qader Hubi (40 years old) from the village of Zeita, near Tulkarm.

– Issam Kamal Rabaia (43 years old) from the village of Mithlon, near Jenin.

– Moataz Hamza Hussein Al-Hajajla (21 years old) from the village of Al-Walaja, near Bethlehem.

On June 23, 2025, Israeli soldiers killed the child Ammar Moataz Hamayel (13 years old) from the village of Kafr Malik, near Ramallah. Two days later, they killed another child in the town of Al-Yamun, near Jenin — Rayan Tamer Hushieh (15 years old).

On June 25, 2025, Israeli soldiers shot and killed Zahiya Joudeh Al-Obeidi (66 years old) from Shuafat refugee camp near Jerusalem, after she was struck with a bullet to the head.

The fall of martyrs in the West Bank coincides with the ongoing massacres committed by the occupation around the clock in the Gaza Strip, where the number of martyrs has exceeded 56,600.

The Union for Justice Foundation affirmed that the occupation continues to pose the primary and real threat to the lives of Palestinians, and that the occupying state persists, through its arbitrary practices, in violating numerous international conventions and laws concerning the protection of human rights — foremost among them the right to life, which is the most sacred right.

The Foundation stressed that it “views with great concern the continuation and escalation of Israeli violations against Palestinian civilians, carried out without any deterrence or accountability for the Israeli state, which employs direct killing of civilians as a systematic method.”

It called on all international parties and human rights bodies to pressure the occupying state to enforce international law regarding the protection of civilians during wartime.
